Totems / Mitupo / Izibongo
This collection includes Zimbabwe totem poems in Shona, Ndebele, and English translations. Totems represent a family or clan and our ancestry and are integral to African culture. This collection aims to celebrate this diversity by bringing together a wide range of totems from different communities in Zimbabwe and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Zimbabwe.
Although we have made every effort to include all totems, we apologize if we have missed yours and encourage you to submit it for inclusion.
So, whether you are from Zimbabwe or just interested in African culture, this collection is a must-read for anyone who wants to explore the rich and diverse world of Zimbabwean totems.
